Description

Crispy chicken pieces coated in a glossy sweet and spicy honey mustard chilli sauce with garlic and fresh parsley. This easy skillet dinner is packed with bold flavor and perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Toss chicken pieces in the coating mixture until evenly covered.
  4. Add olive oil to the skillet and heat until shimmering.
  5. Cook the chicken in batches for 4 to 5 minutes per side until crispy and golden.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, sweet chilli sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and red chilli flakes.
  7. Pour the sauce into the skillet and toss the chicken until fully coated.
  8. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  9. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the chicken before serving.
  10. Serve hot with rice, noodles, or vegetables.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the skillet while cooking the chicken.
  • Adjust chilli flakes to control spice level.
  • The sauce can be prepared ahead of time.
  • Leftovers taste even better the next day.
