Description

A rich and comforting sweet potato cheese bake with layers of tender sweet potatoes, creamy sauce, and golden melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, milk, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  3. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  4. Layer sliced sweet potatoes in the dish, pour some of the cream mixture, then sprinkle cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
