- 500 grams ground beef
- 4 burger buns
- 4 cheddar cheese slices
- 4 large lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 8 pickle slices
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium high heat until hot.
- Season the ground beef with salt and black pepper, then gently form into 4 patties.
- Add butter to the skillet and let it melt evenly.
- Place patties in the skillet and cook, adding cheese slices on top near the end.
- Cook each side for 3 to 4 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Toast the burger buns with butter until golden.
- Assemble with mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, patty, pickles, and top bun, then serve.
Notes
- Do not press the patties too much while cooking to keep them juicy.
- Toast the buns lightly to avoid sogginess.
- Let patties rest briefly before assembling.
